Great service. Great food great atmosphere. Live music.
Clean & comfortable rooms; paper thin walls. Do not recommend if you want to actually sleep at night; the first floor is an extremely noisy restaurant with a horrible, loud lounge singer. The noise carries up to the floors above and it's impossible to get any peace.
Upon arrival this hotel smelled of paint and there was loud banging from the construction. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and checked in. We then realized there was ONE toilet and ONE shower for an entire floor which is not advertised. The room and bathroom were both dirty with hair everywhere.
Great location, friendly staff, and very clean rooms. The restaurant and outside lawn renovations look beautiful and we loved that there was a guest area away from the restaurant where we could sit and watch tv. We were a little concerned with street parking only, but parking is free in Spring Lake and it isn't hard to find a spot at all. Free wifi was also a great bonus! We enjoyed our stay and will come back in the future!
We got the rooms through a groupon for a great rate and so we were happy with the room price. The place looks more like a guest house than a victorian hotel. It was under construction while we were here so there was no breakfast included even though the groupon and brochure both said they were included. Before you book, I would call to double check on the construction. I was told they frequently renovate. Room was clean though, beds were comfortable, view of a pool, and the ocean view are all really nice. If they were done with construction, I would definitely stay here again.
The paint smell ended up making us so sick that we went back down and left. We checked into the hotel next door The Breakers on the Ocean which I would recommend. I asked for a refund on the room and the hotel refused. I'm so upset with this hotel I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this!
